Hair and fur are the hardest subjects for any background removal tool because individual strands are only 1–3 pixels wide and overlap with the background. SimplyPNG's HD mode (4096px) processes at full resolution, preserving strand-level detail. Fast mode (2500px) is accurate for most hair but may soften individual strands at high-zoom inspection. Use HD mode for any image where fine hair or fur detail matters for commercial use.
SimplyPNG fills background pixels with exactly #FFFFFF (RGB 255,255,255) before encoding. PNG outputs are lossless and preserve this exactly. JPEG outputs at quality ≥85 also consistently produce RGB 255,255,255 because pure white sits at the extreme of the DCT color space and is stable at high compression quality.
