What is the maximum input size?
This tool supports images up to 8000px per side. Processing runs locally in your browser. Very large files (6000px+) may be slow on lower-powered devices.
Does resizing reduce quality?
Downscaling reduces file size and may slightly soften edges. Use 85–90% quality for JPG for a good balance. PNG output is lossless.
Will my images be uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs inside your browser using the Canvas API. No data is ever sent to any server.
What sizes work best for SimplyPNG?
Use 2500 px for SimplyPNG fast mode (1 credit). Use 4096 px for HD mode (2 credits, preserves fine details on hair, fur, and complex edges). SimplyPNG accepts images up to 4096 px — if your source image is larger, resize it to 4096 px here first before uploading.
Can I resize to a custom dimension?
Yes — select 'Custom' and enter any value between 512 and 8000 px. The longest side is scaled to your target; the other side scales proportionally to preserve the original aspect ratio.
